* Create lesson plans according to syllabus and course outline.
* Teach students the Surgical Technology classes by using a variation of different teaching techniques.
* Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided, to assure course content and objectives are met.
* Distribute a copy of the class calendar to all students at first class meeting.
* Complete all required paperwork pertaining to company requirements and student paperwork.
* Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus.
* Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught, by maintaining accurate attendance records daily, calling all students who are absent, and recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting and communicating attendance "concerns" to the Program Chair or DOE.
* Establish good communication skills in a professional manner, with students, for the sole purpose of their success and completion of the program.
* Be available to advise students, tutor and provide other assistance as needed.
Requirements
* Associates Degree Preferred.
* MUST possess a CMA.
* Three Years experience in the field.
* Experience in teaching adults desired.
* Medisoft software knowledge required.
* Excellent customer service, organizational and motivational skills also essential.
