General Duties:
* Establish and maintain relationships with area agencies, businesses, and trades industry, resulting in securing and maintaining employment sites and job leads referrals for externs and graduating students in every externship quarter and cohorts. * Assist in establishing department goals, objectives, policies and procedures as related to employment of externs and graduates. * Assist in facilitating student transition from class work to the work force in preparation for employment. * Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues and problem. * Ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the campus, and/or regulatory agencies in compliance with policies, procedures and legal requirement. * Communicate, develop and promote Everest Institute to potential employers, job sites, organizations and the community. * Introduce relevant agencies, businesses, trades industry to training programs offered and services provided by the school. * Deliver presentations to agencies and businesses to facilitate the development of high quality job lead referrals. * Maintain contact with local employers to obtain information on externship opportunities. * Develop and enhance working relationships that would lead to the facilitation of extern placement. * Achieve targeted minimum job referral leads weekly with new and existing companies as set by the Director of Career Services. * Achieve targeted minimum lead to placement conversion percentage benchmark as set by the Director of Career Services. * Attend and promote school programs at local career fairs and businesses. * Assist in developing and implementing effective ways to promote Career Service to students, alumni, new businesses and agencies. * Assist in the Career Development lectures and Inspire Workshops. * Research and analyze employment trends of the local business community through the use of surveys (telephone and written) to provide school staff and graduates with information on changes in the job market and to identify potential appropriate changes in the school curriculum. * Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short and long term department goals. * Develop the personal, internet and print resources necessary to accurately and professionally advise students, alumni, faculty and employers. * May be given the responsibility to lead and/or guide other staff, either same level or lower level, or student workers. * Input accurate records into the company designated electronic record keeping system on a timely basis. * Comply with all governmental regulation and standards of accreditation as they relate to students. * Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the school management.
Requirements * BA degree in Business Management, Marketing, Education, Public Relations, Psychology or Communication is preferred. * Some outside sales experience required. * Strong knowledge of computer applications (skills in Word and Excel). * Ability to work with external vendors and internal clients. * Working with recruiters to achieve specific results. * Background in some trades industry(emphasis on sales, marketing, HVAC, Carpentry, Plumbing, Network Systems, and/or Electrical). * Must be able to develop employment relationships with employers, build partnership with employers in the community and industry.
