General Duties:
* Provide students with the technical skill sets and applied logical diagnostics approach necessary to diagnose, service, and repair modern motorcycles and powersports vehicles (ATV, PWC, Snowmobiles).
* Maintain a teaching assignment each module.
* Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to ensure course content and learning objectives are met.
* Design, administer and grade examinations.
* Actively maintain student retention by keeping accurate daily attendance records, calling absent students, recording absentee information in roster, and communicating any attendance concerns to the Program Chair or DOE.
* Be available to advise, tutor, and provide other student assistance as needed.
* Add your personal knowledge to WyoTech-supplied subject matter, objectives and skill tasks.
* Train students to obtain gainful employment in the Motorcycle/Powersports Industry as entry level technicians.
Requirements
* Minimum required number of years with actual hands-on mechanical/technical work experience in the motorcycle/powersports field: 7 out of the last 10 (less with a 4 year college degree).
* Hands on experience as an Asian, European, or Domestic motorcycle, or Off Road Powersports (ATV, PWC, Snowmobile) technician.
* Ability to apply diverse teaching methods to students of various ages and learning styles.
* Excellent customer service, organizational, and motivational skills. Strong team orientation.
* Teaching experience a plus, but not required; will train.
* Typical Instructor hours 6:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., or 4:15 p.m. to 1:40 a.m., five days a week.
