General Duties:
* Provide students with the skills necessary to succeed in the electrical technology field Maintain a teaching assignment each module.
* Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to ensure course content and learning objectives are met.
* Distribute a copy of the module calendar to all students at first class meeting.
* Design, administer and grade examinations. .
* Actively maintain student retention by keeping accurate daily attendance records, calling absent students, recording absentee information in roster, and communicating any attendance concerns to the Program Chair or DOE.
* Be available to advise, tutor and provide other student assistance as needed.
Requirements
* Licensed electrician with at least 4 years’ field experience with transformers, motors, generators, switchgears, and/or other equipment required to power homes, businesses, and industries.
* Past experience in the field with electrical code, concept, professionalism, and hands on training pertaining to the electrical trade.
* Ability to apply diverse teaching methods to students of various ages and learning styles.
* Excellent customer service, organizational and motivational skills.
* Strong team orientation.
* Teaching experience a plus, but not required, will train.
* Bachelors degree preferred.
