Everest Institute, Corinthian Colleges, Inc. a publicly traded corporation and one of the nation's leading providers of post-secondary training for adult learners, is currently seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented instructors for Mechanical ventilator and Pulmonary Function testing (PFT) classes in an Associates Degree Respiratory Therapy Program at the Decatur-campus; 2460 Wesley Chapel Road.

Responsibilities include:
* Plan course instruction daily based upon approved syllabus/outline provided.
* Assure that course content and objectives are met in depth and scope as described in syllabus.
* Provide instruction with an emphasis on interactive teaching methods to address diverse learning styles of all students.
* Participate in monthly department meetings, professional development activities, campus events and bi-annual graduation ceremonies.
* Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus.
* Ensure that all grades are submitted to Program Chair / Registrar in a timely manner.
* Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught, by providing accurate attendance records daily, contacting absent students per department policy, and recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting.
* Provide students with academic and /or attendance advisement as needed to ensure retention and highest opportunity for student success.
* Be available to provide tutoring and other mentor support as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy (BS.RRT).
* NBRC credential, in good standing.
* 4 years related practical experience in respiratory therapy.
* Current state license for Respiratory Therapy, in good standing with the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
* BLS certified.
* CPFT.
Desired qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
* RRT (NBRC) credential, in good standing.
* Previous teaching and/or clinical preceptor experience a plus.
* ACLS certified.
* BLS / ACLS instructor / trainer.
* RPFT preferred.
* AARC/GSRC membership a plus.
