Job Summary:

Directly responsible for the day-to-day activities of up to 10 Student Finance Support Quality Control Specialists. Provide ongoing internal quality control review of operational staff and processes to ensure compliance. Assist Director in coordinating Sarbannes-Oxley (SOX) and Internal Audits for FARE (Financial Aid Re-Engineering) campuses as well as supporting Audit and Compliance Department for annual SFA audits. Assist in policy and process documentation. Provide regulatory guidance as exception items/situations occur within operational team. Maintain relationships with internal regulatory and audit and compliance departments as well as external regulatory bodies as needed.

General Duties:

* Manage and monitor staff audit of key control items for SOX, file review for Internal Audit and assistance with annual SFA audit.

* Coordinate audit of operational and helpdesk staff to ensure compliance.

* Evaluate audit results to ensure timely identification of risks or opportunities.

* Assist in policy and process documentation.

* Complete routine performance monitoring and provide regular, structured feedback and coaching to ensure the highest quality results.

* Monitor and manage subordinate’s administrative tasks, including but not limited to: attendance and tardiness tracking, payroll, and corrective action.

* Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) required

* Minimum of 5 years financial aid experience with 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity

* Ability to monitor and supervise staff production and quality

* Ability to audit financial aid documents and processes

* Ability to hire, train, supervise and coach subordinates

* Proven record of leading and managing a team to success

* Excellent policy writing and process documentation skills

* Ability to multi task, organize and establish priorities

* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

* Adaptable to change

* Highly motivated and a team player

* Flexible with work hours or shift, including weekends if necessary

* Knowledge of CampusVue program desired
