Job Summary:
This position reports directly to the AVP, Curriculum. The MA Curriculum Manager is responsible for all programs assigned to them. The position is within the Curriculum Department and will indirectly report to the Vice President, Curriculum. This position will track and respond to curriculum requests/questions, and organize Curriculum Institutes as needed. The MA Curriculum Manager is responsible for the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of programs that they manage. Position requires the individual to be self-directed, highly motivated and team-oriented.
General Duties:
* Provides support to programs at the school level and guidance in programmatic accreditation and regulatory affairs. * Assists in the development of a product strategy for each program within assigned disciplines of Health Sciences. Manages the development of new programs, revisions, course assets and provides support (e.g., tuition funding models, lab and equipment specifications, faculty requirements, textbooks, test banks, instructor tools) for all assigned programs. * Provides support to campuses in all phases of application, implementation and management of programs. Trains school staff, assists in recruitment/orientation/training/evaluation of faculty, ensures access to texts and other course assets, assures proper set up and use of labs and equipment to conform to program specifications, liaises with publishers and other vendors. * Reports program progress to cross-functional teams. * Responds to campus requests for curriculum support. * Partners with individual campuses and Regulatory Affairs to insure efficient, timely and effective submission/review/approval of program applications. * Functions collaboratively with Academic Affairs staff to insure quality customer service and product. * Provides and tracks research of regulatory requirements and program compliance. * Provides programmatic leadership to campus staff and faculty through regular conference calls and/or site visits. * Evaluates curriculum and instructional approaches to ensure it meets the needs of the diverse student population and community. * Serves as a content expert resource for accreditation and other management/community forums. * Performs other administrative duties as it relates to providing product support to Health Science programs.
Requirements * Bachelor’s degree required with the appropriate Medical Assisting content knowledge and/or experience. CMA (AAMA) or RMA certification will be required. * Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. * Ability to handle multiple projects in parallel production; must be detailed-oriented and able to adjust to fluctuating priorities. * Ability to interact with all levels of personnel; customer service experience. * Possess proven ability to work and collaborate with cross-functional teams. * Able to plan, implement, and track at both the micro- and macro-levels. * Possess knowledge of (and experience in) Microsoft Windows and Office (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Ability to lead a team in the absence of the AVP, Curriculum.
