General Duties:
* Maintain a teaching assignment for class.
* Plan course instruction based on approved syllabus/course outline provided to ensure course content and learning objectives are met.
* Distribute a copy of the class syllabus to all students at first class meeting.
* Utilize a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate the learning styles of a diverse student enrollment.
* Design, administer and grade examinations.
* Actively work to retain a high level of enrollment in all classes taught by maintaining accurate daily attendance records, calling absent students, recording absentee information in roster, and communicating attendance concerns to the Program Chair or DOE.
Requirements
* Master's degree required in Sociology and at least 18 graduate hours.
* Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
* Teaching experience preferred, especially with a diverse population.
