General Duties:
* Maintain a teaching assignment for class.
* Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided, to assure course content and objectives are met.
* Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.
* Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus.
* Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught, by maintaining accurate attendance records, contacting all students who are absent, and recording absentee information in roster after each week and communicating attendance concerns to the Academic Dean.
Requirements
* Must have a Master's Degree in English and have completed at least 18 units of graduate level work in the discipline.
* Previous experience in instruction.
* Experience in teaching adults desired.
* Excellent customer service, organizational and motivational skills also essential.
